What is the Optus Junior Tour?Enter Tournaments Check Your Rankings
The OJT is an umbrella tour that provides a clear competitive pathway for aspiring tennis players. In 2010, the OJT has been rebranded and will offer Australian Ranking points across 5 levels, Platinum (also known as the Optus National Junior Championships), Gold, Silver, Bronze and White. 

 

These tournaments offer points across the 12/u, 14/u and 16/u age groups, with select tournaments also offering points in the 18/u age group.  In total, 185 tournaments across Australia make up the Optus Junior Tour in 2010, giving all juniors the opportunity to obtain an  Australian Ranking. 

 

The five levels of Optus Junior Tour tournaments is as follows:

OJT Platinum - Small 

 

OJT Platinum Series (National Junior Championships)
Each year Tennis Australia conducts National Junior Championships to assist the development of our high performance athletes. These tournaments are the pinnacle in competition for tennis athletes, and provide maximum Australian Ranking points in each age level. In 2010, the National Junior Championships will be spread throughout Queensland and Victoria. 

 

 

 


OJT Gold SeriesOJT Gold - Small

Across the Australian states in 2010 are a total of 19 tournaments that offer the highest amount of points outside the National Junior Championships. These are grouped as the OJT Gold Series and are historically the major junior championships in each state. Across the country in 2010 there are six Gold tournaments in NSW and VIC, three in QLD and two each in SA and WA. 

 

 

 

 

 OJT Silver - Small

OJT Silver Series

Across the Australian states and territories in 2010 are a total of 33 tournaments that offer the third highest amount of points on the Optus Junior Tour. These are grouped as the OJT Silver Series. Across the country in 2010 there are 10 Silver tournaments in NSW, 5 in VIC, 9 in QLD, 4 in SA, 3 in WA and 1 in Tasmania and the Nortern Territory. 

 

 

 

OJT Bronze SeriesOJT Bronze - Small

Across the Australian states and territories in 2010 are a total of 58 tournaments that offer the fourth highest amount of points on the Optus Junior Tour. These are grouped as the OJT Bronze Series. Recommended for athletes beginning the AR tournament circuit. Across the country in 2010 there are 12 Bronze tournaments in NSW, 11 in VIC, 9 in QLD, 8 in SA, 4 in WA, 6 in Tasmania, and 4 in the ACT and Northern Territory. 

 

 

 

OJT White SeriesOJT White - Small

Across the Australian states and territories in 2010 are a total of 58 tournaments that offer the lowest amount of points on the Optus Junior Tour. These are grouped as the OJT White Series.  Recommended for athletes beginning the AR tournament circuit. Across the country in 2010 there are 11 White tournaments in NSW, 9 in VIC, 9 in QLD, 13 in SA, 9 in WA, 2 in Tasmania and 5 in the Northern Territory.
